Godric smiled, holding her close. He ran his fingers through her dark hair, sighing at the feel. It had been such a long time since he’d felt anything like this. Feeling her face pressed against his neck made Godric pull her closer, his long arms wrapping around Rowena’s frame. He knew that she was under a lot of stress now and that perhaps simply having him here would make things better.

She held him closer when he pulled her to him, wrapping his arms in a protective and caring embrace. Godric’s presence, his touch, the way he stroked her hair and held her in his arms… it all was calming Rowena, all grim thoughts gone as she found peace with him.
